Wisdom From Mary Kay Ash
 |
It
is very important for each of us to maintain the “Mary Kay image” at
all times. Hotel managers frequently write me after a function has been
held in their hotels. Their letters say that we have the finest,
best-mannered, best-dressed and most beautiful women in any organization
in America — and I agree! At the time of a Mary
Kay function, we are “putting our best foot forward.” I believe that
every time we step out of our homes,
we are representing “Mary Kay.” Someone once said, “You are the
only Bible many people will ever read.” The same also is true with our
image. Sometimes the image someone else has of you is determined by the
way you look when you go to the grocery store or to pick up your
children. Please remember
that YOU are “Mary Kay” to every single person you meet. Please help
us maintain and uphold, every day, the beautiful image we have earned
over the years.

Success
Meeting Guidelines
|
Whether
you attend my Success Meetings or an adopted director's meeting, when you go to
area events, Career Conference or Seminar...there are certain rules to remember
and abide by. Please be aware of your actions and your
responsibilities. Here's a few things to remember: |
 |
Please
arrive on time...make it a goal to arrive 10-15 minutes before the meeting is
due to start. Greet guests...welcome them to the event on the part of the
unit or the company.
|
 |
Turn
off cell phones and pagers OR put them on vibrate. If you need to talk on
the phone or answer a page, please go outside to answer the call.
|
 |
Please
be considerate of whomever is speaking. Remain quiet...no talking and no
interrupting. If you'd like to participate in training, you will need to
make it a goal to achieve Star Recruiter status. Questions, of course, are
allowed, but please wait until the speaker is COMPLETELY finished and opens up
the floor to comments and questions.
|
 |
Please
help your director pack up and load her car. Things go so much more
quickly if it's a team effort.
|
 |
Please
introduce your guests to your director prior to the start of the meeting and
make sure that the guest speaks to your director at the end of the evening to
answer any questions.
|
 |
If
you have to leave early, please leave as quietly as possible.
|
 |
Be
as POSITIVE as possible at ALL times. Be aware of how you phrase questions
and comments, esp. if you are in a leadership role and are speaking to the group
at large.
|
 |
If
you have a guest attending, please let her know prior to the meeting the dress
code and what to expect. It is also your responsibility to make sure her
profile is filled out and she has a tray and demos for the night.
|
LAST
OF ALL, please remember you ARE Mary Kay to the world at large; please dress and
play that role well!
